Connecting Your WhatsApp Channel

Before you can send or receive messages, you need to connect at least one WhatsApp Business channel to Baat.

Adding a channel

• Go to Settings → Channels

• Click Add Channel

• Follow the on-screen steps to connect your WhatsApp Business Account via the Meta Business integration

• Once connected, the channel status indicator turns green

Channel status

Each channel displays a status badge:

• Connected — Active and receiving messages

• Not Connected — Setup incomplete or credentials expired; reconnect from channel settings

Multiple channels

You can connect more than one WhatsApp number. Each channel is managed independently with its own templates, AI agent assignment, and notification settings.

Chat widget

Each channel includes an embeddable chat widget. Configure its colours, position, and welcome message from the channel’s settings page, then paste the generated snippet into your website.
